Crisis Intervention

Crisis Intervention responds to acute shelter crisis and related needs (food, medicine, bus fare, etc.) as a last resort with 24 hour/day volunteers, while coordinating with local helping agencies.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • On-call 24 hour emergency food assistance
  • Daytime travel assistance for stranded motorists

Day Resource and Referral Program

The Day Resource and Referral Program assists those in the community facing eviction and utility cut-offs, and helps with prescription medications. The program also assists those searching for employment and housing.

  • Providing referrals and assistance for medical and prescription needs

Day Resource Center

As of October 29, 2007 the Day Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9am-1pm. As funds are available, Crisis services will be provided (but concentrated on CWS guests) on Tuesdays & Thursdays and information & referral and other services will be offered M-F.  Services are dependent upon volunteer availability. 

Please note the following dates that the Day Resource Center will be closed:

Friday, October 19th (normal off season schedule)
Monday, October 22nd (CWS prep)
Friday, October 26th (CWS prep)
Thursday, November 22nd & Friday, November 23rd (REACH office closed for Holiday)
Monday, December 24th through Friday, December 28th (Staff will be flexing time/taking flex time, holiday time, & vacation time as they can for the Christmas holiday).
Tuesday, January 1st (REACH office closed for Holiday).

And if you know of anyone who would like to give their time….we need volunteers especially on Tues, Thurs, & Fridays.
